This site began as a comprehensive review of the statutes and appellate decisions that govern sex crimes and child abuse. During my twenty years as an assistant state attorney, I have accumulated an extensive research database on these topics and it is my intent to share this knowledge with others dedicated to the prosecution of these offenses. I have recently begun to create a section on the investigation and prosecution of computer crimes. The computer crimes section is an ongoing project. The information on this site is for personal use only and is not to be reproduced commercially.
This site is divided into three major categories: Sex Crimes, Computer Crimes and Links.
Sex Crimes: This section of the site contains three subsections:
| Case Law: This subsection is summary of virtually every appellate decision interpreting the
various aspects of prosecuting sex crimes and child abuse. This
subsection contains another subsection called FLW
Updates, which contains summaries of the relevant cases found every week
in the Florida Law Weekly.
| Statutes: This subsection is simply a collection of links to the relevant state and federal statutes utilized in prosecuting sex crimes and child abuse offenses. |
Computer Crimes: This section of the site contains two subsections:
| Statutes: This section is a collection of links to relevant state
and federal statutes utilized in prosecuting various computer crimes.
Both child exploitation statutes and basic computer crime statutes are
included. | |
| Search and Seizure: This section is a
collection of information regarding various Fourth Amendment issues with a
particular emphasis on the search and seizure of computers.
| Search and Seizure Forms: This section
contains various forms to assist law enforcement in searching and seizing
computer data. Sample search warrants, affidavits, computer-specific
language and other similar information are included. This section is
only available to law enforcement. Please email

Links: This is a list of helpful Internet sites that should be helpful for law enforcement in general. I don't check them very often, so some of the links may be broken.
